![]() The REV is being shown initially as a crew-cab model with a short bed. While the concept Ram EV was a wildly futuristic truck with several outlandish features, the production version looks similar to the gas-powered version. Like its future EV competitors, the Ram 1500 REV retains a rugged body-on-frame chassis and is pinstriped with enough LED lighting to cover a short runway. The REV is a battery-powered version of the gas-powered Ram 1500. ![]() Following the excitement of already available full-size EV pickups such as the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T, the REV promises both big range and impressive tow capability. With that said I really really wanted the RamBox bed.The upcoming fully electric 20 REV pickup truck grabs life by the cord instead of the horns. Otherwise I will say its was kind of a hassle, but it really depends on how bad you want the other style bed. Much easier process, done in a few hours vs. *IF* You have the time your best bet is to post ads up (craigslist, classifieds on here, etc.) saying you would like to trade straight across, then your only out the money it cost to "physically" swap the beds. Not too bad considering the RamBox option is an additional 1800$ when purchasing from RAM. Then I sold my old bed, just to get rid of it for 700$ Had it painted to match and was charged roughly 1300$ I bought my used/new take off RamBox for roughly 1500$ So I searched for 2 years for a good deal, and finally found one I didn't want to pass up. Hulk is correct, my 2015 did NOT have the RamBoxes and I wanted them bad but couldn't order it in the "fleet colors" when I ordered my truck. Click to expand. Thanks Hulk for letting me chime in.
